I used to chase the light.. until I realized I was born to be it.

For most of my life, I worked hard. Really hard. I tried to make things work. I tried to build something solid, stable, impactful. And no matter how far I got life threw curveballs that knocked me back down.

Death. Abandonment. Disappointment. Hustling in survival mode. Learning things the hard way.

At some point, I had to stop and ask: What if the thing I’ve been waiting for… is actually me?

That moment changed everything. Creativity became her compass. I stopped trying to “prove” and started trying to glow. Because I am the main character. I am the blueprint. And the dream I’ve been chasing? It starts with me.

My Story, by Timeline

  • 1990s – Born Into the Fire

I was born in the Bronx, NY, to Dominican immigrants, and almost immediately, life tested me. My mother passed when I was just a baby. I moved to the Dominican Republic and was raised by my grandmother a powerful, loving woman Marina Reynoso and My Uncle Miguel Jimenez who taught me strength through tradition, art, and spirit. By 10, I had lost her and my father too. I didn’t choose pain, but I chose to create from it.

  • I entered hospitality as a server, became a leader, and co-owned Doha Bar Lounge a space where people came to feel alive. I also started a kids events side hustle. I learned how to build experiences, lead teams, and create joy. But behind the scenes, I was also holding a lot: grief, anxiety, dreams too big for the room I was in. Still, I kept going.

  • Becoming a mother of two, opening & closing my second restaurant, changed me deeply. I stepped back from daily operations and faced myself. I realized I was exhausted not just physically, but spiritually. That’s when it hit me:

I’m not just good at creating experiences. I’m good at transforming pain into beauty. And that’s not small that’s divine.

  • Next came Art As Amor a home for all the things I love: art, therapy, cultural tradition, fantasy costume design, beauty, grounding, empowerment, happiness and storytelling. Immersive workshops & SEL events use fashion, history, and hands on art to bring people back to themselves.
